In Rose Cherami Gathering Fallen Petals, Rose's only son, Michael Marcades, pieces together the fragments of Rose's troubled life - involving substance abuse, prostitution, and violence - to reveal startling truths about the events leading up to the assassination of President John Kennedy and what Rose may have known. Based on true events, JFK Lancer's "Gathering Fallen Petals" is an incredible and historically accurate account of one woman's struggle to overcome her demons.
Rose Cherami Gathering Fallen Petals eBook Michael Marcades Norma Kirkpatrick J Gary Shaw
November 21, 1963Melba Christine “Crit” Youngblood Marcades was in trouble: coming off of heroin, newly admitted to a treatment facility and going under the alias Rose Cherami. Then she started to babble. She told doctors, orderlies, nurses and anyone who would listen that the president would be assassinated the next day.
This would have just been the mad ravings of a drug addict if John Kennedy had not, in fact, been assassinated the next day. It became even more interesting because Rose, herself died in a suspicious hit and run not long afterwards.
While others have debated what she knew and who silenced her, Crit’s young son, Michael had other questions. Questions like ‘Who was my mother’ and ‘Why did she leave me?’
This book is Michael’s tribute to the mother he was not able to know. She was unquestionably a woman who made bad decisions, decisions that no one had a lot of empathy for at the time. She ran away from home at 16 and lived much of her adult life as an addict, a prostitute and even a felon. She danced in Jack Ruby’s club, delivered drugs and helped service men go AWOL.
In some ways her story is a pathetic tale of a woman’s search for love. In some ways it is a cautionary tale of having the wrong friends and living fast and lose. This book is a search for understanding, not so much about the Kennedy angle, but about the humanity of Crit.

Rose Cherami Gathering Fallen Petals eBook Michael Marcades Norma Kirkpatrick J Gary Shaw Reviews
Excellent & intriguing book. A true American story with historic implications. Hard to put down & difficult to forget. It stays with you. Very well written. Norma Kilpatrick did a wonderful job interweaving and realistically describing the life of Rose Cherami. Thanks to Michael Mercades for sharing his and his mother's story with the rest of us. Recommend everyone read this one.
I could not put this book down. It was way better than I thought it would be. It had some grammatical issues, but it was still good. She made some terrible choices. This story illustrates the reality of what addiction can do. Plus, she hung around the wrong people. Despite her flaws, she didn't deserve to have her life taken from her. She was a witness to one of the most tragic events in American history. It's amazing that investigators never took her claims seriously. She obviously knew a lot.
Rose Cherami – Gathering Fallen Petals is a book I have been anxiously waiting to come out for a couple of years. I know Michael Marcades and knew he was in the process of researching and writing this book about his mother’s life, and her knowledge of the future plans to assassinate President Kennedy. She tried to warn people of plans to kill him when he got to Dallas, but no one listened. I highly recommend this book to everyone. It is so well written and you will not be able to put it down once you open it. God bless you Michael.
Rose Cherami was so well written and intriguing that I could not put it down. The life Rose led was one a person could only imagine. The book is a mixture of addiction, crime, love and forgiveness. The whole time I was reading the book, I thought what a great movie it would make. I would highly recommend this book.
This story is heart-wrenching, but beautifully written. I fell in love with the main character. The book offers a connection to the JFK assassination as well. I would recommend this book to history lovers and those who want to really feel an author's heart.
Excellent book! I loved it and couldn't put it down!
Very well researched and written. This is a book about the life of Melba Christine Youngblood / Rose Cherami, a young woman with personal demons that prevented her from being the good wife and mother she wanted to be, and instead put her right in the middle of one of the most mysterious and still debated events in American history.
Everyone should read this book. It sheds new light on the JFK assassination and raises some very interesting questions about what really happened in the days leading up to that fateful November day in Dallas, and who may actually have been involved.
Congratulations to Dr. Marcades on a job well done!
Michael Mercades' beautifully written book is a warm and loving tribute to his mother, whom he barely knew. He wanted to tell her very important story, which in part, interestingly enough, could have changed the course of history if anyone had believed her.
