"He's the only one who will see the real me." Having left the garish modeling world behind her, Lynne moves to the quiet town of Gettysburg. Tired of being praised solely for her looks, she's changed her name and clothes in order to finally live in peace. But on the day she moves into her new apartment, Lynne gets into a dispute with her neighbor Brendan after he trips over some boxes she left in the hallway. Little does Lynne know, Brendan is blind. Light no longer reaches his beautiful eyes. Brendan promptly forgives Lynne for her embarrassing blunder, and before long the seeds of love are sown in the unlikely pair.

Loved the story. Recently I've been hooked on Harlequin comics and I've purchased close to fifty (or probably more) titles in less than thirty days. Honest to God. Bought this title only a few hours ago and read it (in the middle of babysitting my 1-year-old niece) and finally finished it. It only takes 15-20 minutes to read these comics usually. I just loved the characters and the story. I mean, for a Harlequin the plot isn't too over-the-top. Throw in the guide dogs and the location (I used to live in central PA, less than an hour drive from Gettysburg).. quite a pleasant read. The graphics are impressive, too. Well done by the mangaka. I'm actually thinking of buying the novel now. Thank you, Amazon.Product details

Holiday Confessions Harlequin comics eBook Anne Marie Winston Jinko Soma Reviews
Great Book! I really enjoyed reading it because it showed how a person with a handicap could enter into a good relationship with a person that was trying to find herself after her abrupt career change. The characters are delightful and the story line is great. It is a true love story.
I enjoyed reading this book, because it was romantic with just a touch of sexiness. It was a unique love story that portrayed a strong romantic hero with a handicap and a beautiful heroine with some hang-ups. Both characters were smart and sexy. This book cannot be classified as "Hot Sexy", but it really is a sweet romance with a couple heated sex scenes. One of the few Harlequin books that both the hero and heroine were likeable throughout the storyline.
I gave it only 4 out of 5 stars because it read quickly, but that's normal for most Harlequin Romances.
I like a wounded hero and here is one that is well-adjusted, comfortable in his own skin, not angry, not morose, not bitter and living an independent life and working as an attorney. Our heroine has had enough of the one-dimensional world of the supermodel and has jumped ship in order to save her sanity - a nice person who is anxious to have a meaningful, ordinary life. Lynne meets Brendan when he trips over her moving boxes in their apartment corridor and in a fully believeable way, they find they are attracted and, indeed, in love with each other. I enjoyed reading some background about guide dogs. I have a friend who is on his third dog and another who is a "puppy walker" as they are called here in the UK. I have much admiration for these wonderful animals and am always amazed at their capabilities.
A great read - too brief, sadly and much better than one would exepct in the Desire imprint.
As the wife of a disabled man, I am too often disappointed by the way authors depict disabled heroes.
Well, I am happy to say that Anne Marie Winston did a great job portraying the hero as a smart, witty, successful guy who can't see. He's not whiney, he's not bitter, he's not any of the usual, awful "dis-guy" romance-novel stereotypes. In other words he's normal. The heroine, too, is well-done -- she doesn't coddle or pity him, and assumes -- accurately -- that there isn't much he can't do. Very likeable characters! Highly recommended.
I really loved this story. spoiler alert
The only problem I had was the big secret. I just did not think it was that big of a secret. She should have just told him. I did not think she had a right to be mad at him when he found out. He asked her to marry him and had to find out about her secret from someone else. He told her about his past she should have done the same. I was a little upset that it was made to be his fault because people say a lot of things out of anger. Putting that aside I still enjoyed the book. It was worth reading.
